Original American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson will return home to the show that launched her superstar career on the April 11 results show!

 

All season long, American Idol 2013 has been featuring former contestants as guest performers on Thursday nights. Katharine McPhee, Jessica Sanchez, Colton Dixon and more alums have already taken the stage. Carrie Underwood and Casey Abrams are the latest previous finalists to return to American Idol, performing on the April 4 results show.

 

When Kelly Clarkson storms onto the American Idol Season 12 set next week, she’ll be performing her new single “People Like Us” off her compilation album Greatest Hits: Chapter One, according to Entertainment Weekly’s Inside TV.

 

After her appearance on American Idol 2013, fans can catch Kelly on the 2013 Honda Civic Tour tour with Maroon 5 (featuring The Voice coach Adam Levine), PJ Morton, Rozzi Craine, and Tony Lucca starting on August 1st in St. Louis, MO. Check out the full tour dates below:
