Okay, okay, so she may have had a bit of a feud with record producer Clive Davis, but most would have to admit Kelly Clarkson seems about as genuine and as sweet as it gets. So it’s no surprise that, when asked about BeyonceLipSyncGate, the American Idol winner was more sympathetic than anything. As she told K-Frog Radio:

“It’s the most nerve-wracking situation ever,” the (relatively) newly engaged singer said of singing in front of big crowds. “And it was cold. That event isn’t about me or Beyonce or James Taylor,” she continued. “That event is about Obama, Biden and our history and our country.”

The singer seemed to convey that she thought Beyonce understood this as well, and didn’t want to distract from the moment with any possible errors, etc.

Given that politically correct statement, we only have one thing left to say -- Kelly Clarkson for President, 2016!

Do you agree with Kelly on Beyonce’s decision?
