On American Idol 2013 last week, Keith Urban said Kree Harrison could “sing the phonebook” and sound amazing. Her performance of “Crying” by Roy Orbison so stunned Nicki Minaj, the American Idoljudge lost all ability to formulate a coherent thought and started muttering about pancakes and Aunt Jemima syrup...  Yes, Kree is that good! Mariah Carey said she is one of the most “real” and emotive singers in the competition. We absolutely agree on all counts.

Kree Harrison is definitely a country girl, but we see a lot of crossover potential for her in the future. She might well be the next Carrie Underwood if she keeps performing at the top of her game. Of the two country girls left in the competition on American Idol Season 12, we are now leaning very heavily toward Kree. We initially loved Janelle Arthur more, but she just seems to have lost some of her shine the past few weeks.

So how did CONTESTANT do on the Season 12 Top 9 performance show? Will she make it through to the Top 8 after the elimination results on Thursday night? Watch CONTESTANT’s American Idol 2013 Top 9 performance video below and let us know what you think!
