Phillip Phillips fans won’t have to wait until November 19 to listen to the American Idol winner’s upcoming album!

Yahoo! Music has a preview of all 12 songs on P2’s debut effort, titled The World From the Side of the Moon. From the snippets we’ve heard, followers of Dave Matthews Band, Maroon 5, John Mayer and Train will really dig on Phillip’s sound.

“It’s an album that really represents me and it really comes from my heart, so I really hope people can connect with it,” said Phillip, who single-handedly wrote four songs and co-wrote five on the album.

The 22-year-old singer also dished on working with Jimmy Iovine, the notoriously critical Idol mentor and head honcho at Interscope Records, Phillip’s label.

“I was definitely nervous about working with him, because you can’t really tell Jimmy Iovine that he’s wrong!” he said. “He kind of knows best, because he’ worked with some of the greatest artists in the world. But he let me do so much on this album.”
