Mariah Carey will be a fixture of the small screen in January as he joins American Idol’s Season 12 judging line-up, but she’ll be seen on the big screen again soon enough as well!

Black Film reports that Mariah will re-team with Precious director Lee Daniels for his next star-studded project, The Butler.

The story follows real-life White House butler Eugene Allen, who served through eight consecutive presidencies and observed America’s attitude toward race before, during, and after the Civil Rights Movement.

Mariah’s role in the film is unknown, but she will be joining the ranks of stars like Forrest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, John Cusack, Jane Fonda, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Lenny Kravitz, Terrence Howard, Robin Williams, James Marsden, Minka Kelly, and many more!
