American Idol judge Nicki Minaj was unequivocal about her opinion on the contestants this season: the winner won't be a dude.

When asked by reporters on a conference call Monday on if she felt that a guy would win this season, Nicki said, "No, absolutely not."

Taking it one step further, Nicki highlighted the female trio that she thinks are the heavy favorites.

“Kree, Angie and Candice. I think that, outside of their voices, they've won people over already, which I think is evident in just what I see on Twitter with my fans," Nicki revealed, continuing. "Those three seem to have really made an impact."

While the the rap superstar is definitive about the gender issue, she has been impressed by contestants Burnell Taylor and Curtis Finch, even go so far as to saying that she'd love to collaborate with Burnell.

Regardless, only time, and America, will tell if Nicki is right and a girl does indeed end the male contestant winning streak.
