For a personality like Nicki Minaj, 'self-control' doesn't seem to be a word frequently used to describe her, but the American Idol judge and superstar believes it to be very apropo in regards to her behavior on the show.
What we have seen from Nicki is free-flowing opinions, tons of sideways glances and just generalized outbursts during the audition rounds. But in light of all that, Nicki suggests that there's so much more she didn't do.
"I don't know," Nicki replied when asked if she felt that things were in a good place for her on the show. "Listen, I just know that I have a lot of self-control on that panel. A lot of self-control," she said during a sit down with MTV News.
"That's all I'll say about that."
When further pressed about whether or not anything has improved on the show, her answer was clear: "No."
Nicki went on to discuss the focus of the show, the contestants, and how despite whatever drama that seems to perpetually exist within the judges' panel, they united to pick a strong cast of talent.
"And not trying to toot our horn, but these four judges, we have picked some amazing talent. The voices that are on this season? Unmatched."
