Long before he ever set foot on the American Idol stage, Georgia native Phillip Phillips found love with girlfriend Hannah Blackwell.

The American Idol Season 11 champ — who once said he’d like for his girlfriend to join him on the Idol summer tour — was spotted arriving at the airport in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday with Hannah for his first return performance since undergoing kidney surgery.

Hannah’s been helpful to Phillip throughout his entire Idol experience — especially with his health concerns — and it looks like she’s giving him some company on the road!

The American Idols Live! Tour begins tomorrow in Detroit, Michigan and runs until September 11. Whether Hannah’s going to be by P2’s side throughout the whole tour remains to be seen!
