Phillip Phillips’s coronation song continues to be an inspirational hit.

The American Idol Season 11 winner’s double-platinum single “Home” has been used to promote the Olympics and Clint Eastwood’s most recent film, Trouble With the Curve. Now, the track has become a source of unexpected hope in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.

New York radio station WPLJ put together a video clip of news footage from the hurricane set to P2’s song, and the singer is set to perform with Staten Island’s PS22 choir to raise money for hurricane relief.

PS22 previously covered “Home” back in September, but we have a feeling that the power of Phillip and these adorable kids combined could be an amazing feat to watch.
