Major judging shakeups have rocked American Idol this week. Yesterday, we learned Steven Tyler’s out. Today, news broke that Jennifer Lopez is hitting the road too. And rumor has it, Randy Jackson may go too… or will he?

Despite reports that Mariah Carey is potentially in line to replace him, E! Online reports that things are still very much in the air when it comes to whether Randy will return for a Season 12 of Idol as a judge.

As the only remaining original judge on the show, he reportedly feels like he may have already paid his dues with 11 seasons. Not to mention, Randy may not have the same great chemistry with the new judges as he did with Jennifer and Steven. Big names like Miley Cyrus, Fergie, and Adam Lambert have been thrown into the ring as potential Idol judges.

A source also reports that he’s not absolutely opposed to returning. “If they offer him the right deal, who knows?… anything is possible.” We’re starting to get a severe case of whiplash over here.

Should Randy stick around, or should Season 12 bring forth an entirely new line-up of judges?
