American Idol host extraordinaire Ryan Seacrest is a kind and generous person, even willing to lend out his girlfriend, Julianne Hough, for the sake of cinematic success. Wait -- what? While he didn’t exactly give her away, per se, he did give longtime friend Josh Duhamel the a-ok for the steamy scenes that take place in Josh and Julianne’s movie together, Safe Haven. Josh is ever the gentleman, too, having approached Ryan for permission first.
"I don't know why I felt compelled to do that but I did. I'd known Ryan for a long time, and it was out of respect for one, because I'd known the guy and respect him and his relationship with her," he said.
Josh, who is expecting his first child with superstar wife, Fergie, wanted Ryan to know he wasn’t putting the moves on his girl. As he put it, “I felt these movies are very intimate by nature and how I would feel if my girl was going to be in these very close scenes with somebody. And for whatever reason, I wanted him not to worry, because 'I'm not trying with your girl, it's all good, it's just a movie'. Of course he already knew that. He didn't need me to tell him that."
Say it with us -- awwww! Come on, though, let’s give Ryan a little credit, as he’s a pretty great catch.
