Ryan Seacrest is known for being charming, well-liked and personable with celebrities, contestants and fans alike, which is why his pointed comments in regards to Chris Brown recently on his radio show were so surprising.

Prior to an interview with the much-maligned musician, Ryan told his listeners "I was going back and forth in my mind whether or not we should do this interview," the American Idol host told his listeners just before being joined by Chris. ”There was a time when we didn’t have him on. The issue is sometimes I feel like he becomes his own worst enemy, and I do believe that he is sorry for these mistakes. I really do believe that.”

While Ryan did seem to offer a sense of hope for Chris's future, he certainly didn't mince words or feelings about the 23 year-old's numerous mistakes which include assaulting Rihanna, throwing a tantrum and later a chair out of a window on Good Morning America and most recently, fighting with Frank Ocean.

Only time will tell if Chris has truly changed or if, in Ryan's words, the rapper will continue to become his own worst enemy.
