Kudos are in order for American Idol alum Adam Lambert, who has just added a VH1 Do Something Award nomination to his many honors. The award recognizes charity work in the entertainment industry. Not bad, Glamz!

Adam Lambert has been given the nod for good reason: Proceeds from his recent “Aftermath” remix single went to the Trevor Foundation, a group that works to prevent suicide among LGBT youth. His support brought awareness and donations to the education charity DonorsChoose and the clean water organization Charity:Water, helping to raise over $300,000 for each. Adam also notably lent his celebrity to the “It Gets Better” campaign.

You can vote for Adam Lambert to win the award here. Lambert will also attend the award ceremony, which will take place on August 18 in Los Angeles and air on VH1 at 9/8C. Click on over and show your support for an Idol with a big heart!
