Kree Harrison had the momentum on American Idol 2013 for quite a few weeks but she seems to have lost a little steam as of late. It seemed to coincide with the week she disclosed that she had a pinched nerve, so perhaps there’s something to that.

We have to agree with
Jimmy Iovine that we miss the passion and authenticity she showed during her rendition of “Up To The Mountain” many weeks ago.

Last week, Kree took on Susan Tedeschi’s “Hurts So Bad,” and we thought the judges were going to love it. Instead, they seemed to be in agreement that her voice, which is stellar, seemed disconnected with the emotion of the song. While she redeemed herself a bit with her second performance of “Whiter Shade Of Pale,” the judges still seemed to expect more from the Nashville-based demo singer.

As Keith Urban said, he wants her to choose something that will reel the listeners in a bit more. But it was Nicki Minaj’s comment that seemed to embody the problem perfectly. As she said, “Something that’s on the inside of you seems to be dimming a little bit.”

We certainly hope Nicki’s “Kreedom” gets back to her passion of old, or she could really be in trouble.
