Want to know when is American Idol on this week and how long the episodes will be?  It’s tough to keep track with American Idol sometimes considering how they often change up the schedule.

Sometimes the shows are just Wednesday and Thursday. Sometimes they throw in another extra night. Often the shows are two hours long, but sometimes they are only one hour. So when is American Idolon this week and what's the schedule look like?

This week you'll want to tune in to watch judges Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban, and Randy Jackson critique some of the best singers in the country on Wednesday and Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.

The next episodes of American Idol 2013 air on Wednesday, February 27 at 8 pm ET, and Thursday, February 28 at 8 pm ET. Both shows this week will be two hours long. During the first episode, 10 ladies from the remaining Top 40 contestants will take the stage. Five of them will move on to the Season 12 Top 20. The other five will be eliminated by the end of the night.

On Thursday, the same format will be repeated with the guys, but at the end of the evening, the entire Top 20 will be revealed.

Next up, we’ll be moving on to the first voting rounds, where the Top 20 will be cut down by the voters to a final Top 10 to go into the live rounds.
