So when does Season 12 of American Idol start? We haven’t even begun our Christmas shopping yet and we’re already hankering for Season 12.

Fox announced last month that the upcoming season of Idol will have a two-night premiere that begins with a two-hour episode airing on Wednesday, January 16, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and another episode on Thursday, January 17, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

We can’t wait to see the newest batch of hopefuls sing their hearts out for Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban and Randy Jackson.
