Tonight’s sudden death round of American Idol 2013 in Las Vegas featured a few too many ballads for our taste, but we were still able to find joy in most of the performances.

Ten ladies took the stage to prove to the judges they deserved a spot in the Season 12 Top 20, but only five were able to make it through. It wasn’t until the fifth or sixth performance of the night that we really saw some lively commentary from Nicki Minaj and the other American Idol judges, and Zoanette Johnson was the only singer to get a standing ovation from all four judges.

But which was your favorite performance of the evening? Was it Candice Glover’s passionate version of Aretha Franklin’s “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman? Or Zoanette’s unexpected but riveting performance of “Circle of Life” from The Lion King? Or maybe it was Jett Hermano’s unique, slowed-down take on Rihanna’s “Only Girl (In the World)? Or perhaps Juliana Chahayed’s sweetly innocent version of Demi Lovato’s “Skyscraper” had you singing along as well?

Whatever your thoughts, vote in our poll below and let us know what your favorite performance was! Don’t forget to tune in tomorrow to watch the Idol guys hit the stage, and for the Top 20 to be officially announced.
