American Idol Season 11 contestant Britnee Kellogg is a former pageant winner, named both Miss Washington Jr. Teen and the official National American Miss Entertainer. Idol isn’t Britnee’s first brush with fame; the 26-year-old Vancouver, Washington, native once met country singer Taylor Swift after winning a Sing Like Taylor Swift radio contest. Taylor told Britnee she needed to get out of her hometown of and head to Nashville. “She basically said I need to be in Nashville and just give it everything I have and never give up," Britnee tells The Columbian.

Britnee, 27, still lives in Vancouver, and is a single mom with two little boys. During her audition, Britnee was endearingly honest about her basketball player ex-husband's cheating ways. Her ex, Matt Conboy, is also the father of her tin boys. According to his LinkedIn profile, Matt is currently a salesperson for Nautilus. She works at Nordstrom by day and plays gigs around the city by night. Britnee explains her passion for singing to The Columbian: "It's just something that I feel like God gave me. It's something I'm absolutely passionate about. Every time I sing, I go to a different place, and I don't have to think about anything else.”

Adorably, Britnee is rumored to be dating fellow Portland contestant Mackenzie Thoms.
