American Idol contestant Jeremy Rosado is a friendly 19-year-old kid from Valrico, Florida. Jeremy sang “Superstar” for his audition in Savannah, Georgia (the city that birthed a zillion Season 11 finalists, including Phillip Phillips). But this wasn’t Jeremy’s first time trying to get on the show; he auditioned four times before making it into Season 11’s talented crop of contestants.
Jeremy is a student at Hillsborough Community College and also an employee at an infectious disease clinic. Jeremy is incredibly dedicated to his faith and sings in his church choir, his mother tells the Bloomingdale-Riverview Patch. Jesus Rosado, Jeremy’s brother, says the family and church community plans to get out the vote big time: “We'll have T-shirts for sale and I'm even going to have someone stand at the Brandon mall with a sign saying ‘Vote for Jeremy.’”
In his Road to Hollywood interview, Jeremy says, “[Idol] is my dream, I know this sounds so cliché, but I’m living it,” adding, “I’m not taking any of this for granted.”
Unfortunately, Jeremy was sent home after his Top 13 performance of Stevie Wonder's "Ribbon in the Sky." Aw, we'll miss you, Jeremy!
