Although he faced the American Idol curse of the songwriting WGWG (white guys with guitars) and the fact that America might be looking for something different, this four-time American Idol auditioner told americanidol.com in his Road to Hollywood video that he brings a new “powerhouse country soul” flavor to the show. And, although he and season 10 winner Scotty McCreery are both country guys, they definitely do have two completely different vibes.

The Waynesboro, TN, native now lives in Nashville, where he works in a dialysis clinic by day (at least he used to!) and performs all around the city by night. Before he landed as part of the top 20 guys, Jimmy had a lot of music samples on ReverbNation and YouTube, but most have been removed due to show contracts.

Jimmy was certainly easy on the eyes and had a sweet country voice, but sadly it was not enough for him to make it through to the Top 20. He was eliminated after his Vegas performance.
