Leave it to the 19-year-old San Diego frat boy to bring Monica's "Angel of Mine" back. (We're still holding our breath for a contestant to sing Brandy's "Sitting Up in My Room.") American Idol Season 11 contestant Kyle Crews got up in front of the judges, already weary of countless hours listening to mediocre Adele covers, and sang so well judge Steven Tyler remarked Kyle's pipes were the "best male voice we've heard yet."

Kyle began his singing career in musical theater, singing in a San Diego production of Seussical. Kyle attends the acclaimed University of California Berkeley, where, in addition to being a member of a fraternity, he is a member of an a cappella group. Kyle, who allegedly serenades girls at his frat house, might be Idol's version of John Cusack in Say Anything with the boombox over his head. We just hope he keeps covering '90s throwbacks! Memo to Kyle: Bring Boyz II Men back!
