Colton Dixon knows the agony of Hollywood Week on American Idol all too well, having gone through it himself during Season 11. The faux-hawked standout went on to become a fan favorite and released his debut album last month. But he recently had some harsh words for the show that launched his singing career.

Taking to Twitter on February 12, the Christian rocker took a swipe at American Idol for cutting his sister, Schyler Dixon, from the competition during Hollywood Week.

“@americanidol missed out last year when they didn't send @schylerdixon through. This years result was poor taste and just rude on their end,” Colton tweeted.

Schyler, who's auditioned for two previous seasons of Idol, sounded far less angry about her own elimination.

“Ya,my idol adventure ended tonight..I sang home by Marc Broussard..so thankful4the experience @AmericanIdol has given me the past 3 years!” she tweeted.

About 10 minutes after his initial post, Colton followed up with a more diplomatic message, tweeting, “Everyone follow my sis @schylerdixon! Big ghings are in store with this one;-) #soproudofyou.”

We totally get his frustration, but it sounds like his little sis is taking the rejection in stride!
