Tonight, we said goodbye to American Idol 2013 contestant Vincent Powell.

Despite a strong showing during Hollywood Week, Vincent took on Boyz II Men's "End of the Road" during the Top 10 guys semi-finals round and failed to blow the judges away. Keith Urban noted that nerves seemed to have gotten the best of him, but they all agreed his voice is amazing.

Sadly, his strong vocals weren’t enough to impress the viewers, and Vincent failed to make it into the Season 12 Top 10.

Like Season 11 breakout star Colton Dixon, Vincent is a Christian artist. The Houston native has even released a 12-track gospel CD entitled Convinced, along with a Christmas album. A youth minister and worship curator at his church in Houston, Vincent studied television, radio, and film at Texas Southern University, where he reportedly sang with a jazz ensemble.

Last year during Season 11, he made it all the way to Hollywood Week only to be cut before the Top 40.

Vincent comes from a long line of performers. As he told americanidol.com last year, “This was kind of frightening, but my mother and sisters are singers, so it was in the genes.” Hopefully we’ll see him audition next year for Season 13.

Do you think Vincent should have been cut, or did he deserve to make it further?
