A judge rejected William Balfour’s appeal of his mandatory life sentence for the murders of three of American Idol alum Jennifer Hudson’s family members, which was handed down in May.

E! Online confirmed that an Illinois judge has now denied William’s motion for a new trial in the case, and the sentencing which included three life sentences plus 120 years of jail time for other charges will stand.

William was found guilty on all counts associated with the murders of Jennifer’s mother (Darnell, Donerson, 57), brother (Jason Hudson, 29), and nephew (Julian King, 7).

Hopefully, this news will help Jennifer and her loved ones find some peace.
