Before American Idol:
Before he became a bazillionaire/television emcee/radio star/TV producer, Ryan Seacrest simply wanted to be a host while growing up in Dunwoody, Georgia. Once a chubby kid in braces and glasses, Ryan went from bully magnet to radio show intern to weekend radio personality while still in his teens. He landed his own afternoon radio show in Los Angeles, Ryan Seacrest for the Ride Home, when he was only 20 years old. It quickly became the station's number-one program.

In addition to his radio work, Ryan also gained small-screen experience. Before landing his American Idol gig, he hosted ESPN's Radical Outdoor Challenge, Gladiators 2000, and NBC Saturday Night at the Movies.
