Well, its official. American Idol Season 9 runner-up Crystal Bowersoxs debut album has been on track for a while now to overtake that of Season 9 winner Lee De Wyze. We reported recently about how record sales have been slipping for American Idol alums in the past few years. Idol-ers just arent selling with the numbers of Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson anymore or even Clay Aiken. But remember: the advent of digital downloading has meant lower numbers for everyone, even the Underwoods of the music world.

So all that said, by the more modest standards...

The reviews are in, and the verdict is... conflicted! While most critics found Crystal Bowersoxs debut album Farmers Daughter to be above-average Idol fare, everyone had a bone to pick with it, be in in the production, the songwriting, or even say it aint so! Idol alum Crystal Bowersox had a recent gig at the Maumee, Ohio club, the Village Idiot, and played two classic cover songs that were piped through a live feed for fans. MamaSox showed off her pipes on 4 Non-blondes classic Whats Going On and the Sheryl Crow song, If It Makes You Happy.
