American Idol’s Top 8 Tackle the 1980s — Who Did the Era Justice? (VIDEO)
Last night (April 9) was actually a good one for TV host Ryan Seacrest to use as much hairspray as he does. It was '80s Night over on American Idol and that meant big hair, big songs, and, in some cases, big misses.
The Top 8 contestants of Season 13 did what they could to prove they know their musical history (none of them were actually around during the '80s). You can catch up on all the details and actually watch the evening's performances thanks to our handy recap. We particularly liked Jena Irene Asciutto and Caleb Johnson's cover of the classic "It's Only Love" but what was your favorite?
After the show, the eight hopefuls chatted up reporters backstage including our pals at Celebified. See what they had to say about the '80s, their standing in the show, and what they hope is ahead as the journey continues. We have a hunch they're all a little extra nervous moving forward now seeing as the season's only save is officially off the table as the judges used it last week to save Sam Woolf.
Who do you think is going home, or do you agree with our pick? Already got a feeling about who will win the whole thing? Tell us in the comments!
