Who Won America’s Got Talent 2013?

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for! After all the watch-smashing and b-o-o-t-y shaking moments, it’s time for our recap of the America’s Got Talent 2013 Season 8 finale. Yes, we're about to find out which of the remaining six acts will take home the million dollars. The suspense!

After a slew of big-name talent, including Icona Pop, Josh Groban, and Dierks Bentley, it’s time to find out where everyone ranked.

And so the contestant in sixth place is singer Cami Bradley. Say what?! Talk about a gigantic shocker! We thought for sure she’d be in the top two. What happened, America?

In fifth place is teen magician Collins Key. This feels about right, even though he is definitely a likable, talented guy.

And the next act eliminated is Forte, which has come in fourth. We thought they could possibly do better than this. The lesson here: America and opera don’t mix.

In third place, we have country crooner Jimmy Rose. And he was a nice guy, but we wouldn’t have put him in our top two. So his ouster makes sense, although we really do wish him all the best.

Can you believe this is it?? The final two: Will the prize go to Kenichi or Taylor? Gah! Okay, so Nick Cannon talks to Kenichi Ebina, who looks more dashing in his tux than he has in his robot garb. And then Nick talks to Taylor Williamson, who’s adorable in his gray suit.

And so the runner-up is... Taylor Williamson. Interesting.

That means that the winner is: Kenichi Ebina! So this isn't a huge shocker, but we would have been happy with either of the top two finalists winning. After all, this was an extremely talent-heavy season.

But we also have a theory as to why both Kenichi and Taylor ended up in the top two. Here it is: The two types of entertainment that they each do multimedia-based performance art (Kenichi) and stand-up comedy (Taylor) are two types that don't already have a talent competition based around them, unlike singing or regular dancing. So people wanted to reward something new.

So there's that, and the fact that Kenichi and Taylor are both just pretty darn awesome. But what did YOU think about the results? Let us know in the comments!
