America’s Got Talent 2013 Auditions: Ex-Marine Jimmy Rose Sings “Coal Keeps the Lights On”

America’s Got Talent 2013, New Orleans Auditions — Jimmy Rose
Next up on week 6 of America's Got Talent is 32-year-old Jimmy Rose. Growing up in Kentucky, Jimmy didn’t think he had any options but to go to work in the coal mines after graduating high school. After realizing what a dangerous job it really was, Jimmy decided that if he was going to risk his life, he’d do it for something more important. He joined the US Marines and that’s where he learned to play the guitar. Taking the stage, Jimmy plays an original song, “Coal Keeps the Light On,” as a dedication to his upbringing and his hometown.

Judges Comments:
Howie: You have a great country sound and heart. I think you are great.
Heidi: I think you have a very beautiful and very natural voice.
Melanie: You have a GREAT voice!
Howard: That was a damn good song. I think your voice is very, very strong. And as a programmer of radio stations, I would have added your record and put it on the air.

Do you think Jimmy can make it to the finals?
