Mel B Slams Simon Cowell For Being “So Rude” After ‘AGT’ Wedding Jab (UPDATE)
UPDATE (8/24/17 at 3:42 p.m. ET):
Mel B does not feel badly for throwing her glass of water on America’s Got Talent co-judge Simon Cowell.
"[Contestant Evie Clair had] really made me cry because it made me think about my dad, and my dad recently passed away from cancer also, with an almost eight to nine years struggle,” she told E! News.
"She just sounded so beautiful and I couldn't stop crying, so I go from that to Simon saying something so rude and inappropriate."
Fellow co-judge Heidi Klum admitted the father of one deserved his soaking.
"I mean, you know, [Simon] was pretty harsh today. So he deserves getting wet from her. I knew it was coming too. She's not going to take that from him,” she told Us Weekly.

Original story (8/23/17 at 10:09 a.m. ET):
Word to the wise: never joke about Mel B’s wedding.
While critiquing escape artist Demian Aditya’s performance on last night’s episode, the X Factor judge said, "I kind of think it will be like Mel B's wedding night: a lot of anticipation, not much promise."
As you can imagine, the singer didn’t take the joke very well.
The 43-year-old — who is currently going through a bitter divorce from Stephen — was outraged and poured her mug of water all over Simon before storming out.
"Mel B is out. This is live TV, all. Live TV," host Tyra Banks said as the mother of three walked off stage.
Fellow judge Howie Mandel added, “Something just went wrong."
Despite the drama, Mel eventually returned for the remainder of the show.
She opened up about the spat following the show and revealed the former American Idol judge should’ve known better.
"He should know, if you say something inappropriate he's gonna get like, stuff thrown at him," she told Entertainment Tonight.
"In a friendly way. I made sure there was no ice in it this time… just fizzy water."
She continued, "I just [wish] I would have had cranberry juice in there or something, and then his whole body would be really sticky!"
Mel was recently granted a restraining order against her ex-husband after she accused him of abusing her earlier this year.
She and Stephen have one daughter together, 5-year-old Madison, and he is stepfather to her 18-year-old daughter Phoenix from her first marriage to Jimmy Gulzar, and 10-year-old Angel from her relationship with Eddie Murphy.
A judge recently ruled Stephen can apply for custody rights to Angel after he argued he played a significant role in raising her.
"He has raised Angel as his own. He's the only father she has ever known,” a source told the Daily News.
"God knows what this poor child is thinking. Stephen is looking forward to the day he can see both girls together. His kids are all that matter to him."
