Nicole was the winner of Cycle 5 and competed with super strong contestants like Bre Scullark, Nik Pace, and Kim Stolz. While she is absolutely gorgeous, she definitely isn’t the fiercest winner.

21. Ann Ward

Tall and skinny Ann won international fame due to her extremely small waist. She was chosen as the winner of Cycle 15 over super-strong contestants Chelsey Hersley and Jane Randall. Her bone structure and impressive photos gave her the win, but fierceness wasn’t really part of the equation.

20. Saleisha Stowers

Saleisha was cursed with a terrible makeover. Her short, mushroom-y haircut was more “little kid” and less “supermodel,” yet she managed to make the most of it. Her win, though, was a bit controversial since it came to light that she had prior modeling experience — a huge no-no for ANTM. That takes a lot of fierceness points away from the Cycle 9 winner.

Lisa was part of Top Model not once, but twice. The first time — in Cycle 5 — she acted a little awkward but was invited back for the All Stars cycle and won. She tried really hard to make the most of out the ANTM experience the second time but she wasn’t the original winner. The judges had actually named Angelea Preston the winner of the All Stars cycle, but she was eventually disqualified for undisclosed reasons. While Lisa was cool, she was a little too crazy, and not fierce enough.

Krista was the winner of Cycle 14 and while she was absolutely stunning, she also wasn’t very memorable — we actually had a hard time remembering her. The lack of fierceness was part of the problem, and even though she won on America’s Next Top Model, she definitely didn’t win in our fierceness list.

In Cycle 20 of ANTM, boys were finally allowed to compete for the coveted title and, honestly, that made the show so much better. The drama was on point and didn’t disappoint, but Jourdan, who eventually won that cycle, was pretty enough to be a model, but not fierce enough to actually be a top model. We were rooting for you, Marvin!

CariDee was given the top spot on ANTM Cycle 7, over villain Melrose Bickerstaff. She was memorable, incredibly cute, and a great model. But she also was pictured practically cheating on her boyfriend, which takes points away for fierceness.

15. McKey Sullivan

McKey had a cool name and a cool makeover that made her look like an actual top model. Her impressive poses and long limbs eventually gave her the win during Cycle 11, and also put her on number 15 of our list. She wasn’t the fiercest model ever, but she was pretty good.

The pink-haired Brit was part of the British Invasion cycle, which featured Americans vs. Brits. The Americans included all-time favorites AzMarie Livingston and Laura LaFrate, while the Brits featured models from past seasons of Britain’s Next Top Model. Sophie was part of BNTM Cycle 5 and came second, she worked her butt off in the American version and finally took a well-deserved gold.

13. Yoanna House

Gorgeous Yoanna was the winner when the show was only a baby, in Cycle 2. Things were very different back then, with former model Janice Dickinson on the judges’ panel giving every aspiring model a lot of tough love. Yoanna, though, stayed strong and managed to come out victorious. Totally fierce.

The queen of cha-cha and Puerto Rican beauty claimed the win in Cycle 8 by giving fierce poses, fierce faces, fierce photos and just all-around fierceness. She originally auditioned for Cycle 7 but didn’t make it. She never stopped trying though, and came back the next cycle even more empowered to take the win. Fierce!

Now known as Eva Marcille, the cycle three winner was one talented actress. Her gorgeous looks and skills put her on The Young and the Restless for a year, and ever since she’s appeared in a few other TV shows and films. She was always a tomboy and never really felt beautiful, which give her a lot of fierceness points in our book.

Brittani’s look was completely improved by her makeover. She went from looking like a girl next door to fashion model with just a haircut, which ultimately gave her the win during Cycle 16 of ANTM. At one point during the competition, she was pretty straightforward about her upbringing — one of struggle. The fact she was able to overcome every obstacle makes her incredibly fierce in our book.

The platinum blonde bombshell with platinum eyebrows to match was the winner of the College Edition cycle of America’s Next Top Model. She was chosen over fan-favorite Leila Goldkuhl, and even though she wasn’t exactly the underdog during the competition, she always gave her best in each photoshoot and rocked those almost-non-existent eyebrows like nobody’s business.

The first male model to take the competition was Keith, a former NFL player. In between his football career he found some time to model and, eventually, decided to give up his NFL gig to audition for Cycle 21 of America’s Next Top Model, putting his insane bone structure to good use. He was fierce enough to not even need a makeover, so there’s that.

7. Naima Mora

7. Naima Mora

Sweet Naima, the winner of Cycle 4, was one of the best competitors ever on America’s Next Top Model. She was always ready for a challenge and stayed away from the in-house drama that comes from having one-too-many girls sharing a place for over a week. She rocked every single photoshoot she did and she’s an amazing singer. Is there anything that she can’t do?

6. Nicole Fox

Petite model Nicole Fox took the win on Cycle 13 of America’s Next Top Model. While she’s average height, at 5’7’’ she’s considered too short to be a model. Tyra Banks realized that all these “short” girls deserved a chance at competing too, and created a cycle specially for them. Nicole’s insane posing skills — her photos always looked like she was able to actually bend her bones — and modelesque red hair gave her the win.

5. Danielle Evans

#DearNYFW I'm at peace now that you no longer have a daunting hold on me. However, it's time for awareness, change, and diversity on the runway. The melanin in your skin shouldn't be a deciding factor as to whether or not you're good enough to walk. The politics of the industry shouldn't be a factor that holds you back. You're worth and greatness shouldn't be measured by wether or not you've traveled the globe or been on the cover of Vogue. #DearNYFW take chances on a new face that is just as great as the household name but, needs that acknowledgement to get that break. As a brown girl there should never be a fear whether or not there will be an artist that can manage her hair or get the skin tones right for her makeup. I realize magic is difficult to understand but let's start by understanding that there are different hues of colors in one face. #DearNYFW we should not celebrate emaciated frames that are forced to go to extreme lengths to maintain certain measurements. We are women. Our bodies should be celebrated as they develop, not shamed. #DearNYFW Even though I have strong opinions and experiences that marked my perception and point of view. You also taught me the greatest lesson- the significance of not fitting into a mold or image that others think I should fit into. I rally and stand with my girls @iskra @saraziff @modelallianceny and all other fellow models who are walking this current show season. ????????????????????????????????????????

Danielle, who now goes by Dani, was the winner of Cycle 6 of Top Model. She was always neck-and-neck with runner-up Joanie Dodds, but despite her southern accent, her charm and fierceness made her the winner.

Cycle 10's Whitney was the first — and only, so far — plus-size model to win the competition. Her body type was known as fiercely real, which obviously proves she’s insanely fierce. She never backed down from the competition, always gave it her best and stayed true to herself.

The winner of Cycle 12, Teyona — now known as Asia — managed to stay in the top three of the competition from week five, not an easy task when you have so many good models to compete with. She defeated another favorite, Allison Harvard, who had a quirky and unique look that was not easy to win; and Teyona did so with incredible poise. The winner was an all-around model, for sure.

The very first winner of America’s Next Top Model took the win in 2003. Throughout the competition she stood out in challenges and photo shoots, making her the judges’ favorite pretty early on. Adrianne went on to have a very successful modeling career before transitioning to gaming and cosplaying.

1. Nyle DiMarco

The second male model to win the competition did so in Cycle 22, the last one featuring Tyra Banks as a host (the show is currently hosted by Rita Ora). Nyle is not only a gorgeous guy and a great human being, he is also deaf. He didn’t let his disability bring him down during the competition. In fact, he was grateful most of the time for not being able to hear the drama that went on. He made the most of the situation, gave it his best, and eventually obliterated the competition to take home the first place. Pretty fierce!
