Tyra would not be pleased!

America’s Next Top Model Cycle 19 runner-up Kiara Belen was arrested in Hollywood on Saturday, January 11, for driving under the influence.

The aspiring model was reportedly pulled over after her car was observed swerving through lanes. The LAPD officer reportedly pulled the 23-year-old over and administered a sobriety test, which Kiara did not pass. Kiara was then arrested, sent to jail, and booked on suspicion of driving under the influence. The model spent a few hours in the slammer until someone bailed her out later that morning.

Kiara came in second place while competing on ANTM in 2012 and made a name for herself as one of Tyra’s personal favorites. The model was also a standout because of her inspiring backstory: Kiara was abused her whole life, ran away from home at age 16, and got a fellowship to play basketball at the University of California, Irvine. After a tough upbringing, Kiara stated many times throughout the show that she wanted to be a great role model for girls.

We can only hope that Kiara’s latest legal troubles are simply a small bump in the road. For her part, the basketball player seems to be thinking positively about the whole encounter.

“I abide by the Law of Least Resistance,” she tweeted on January 12. “Everything is how it should be.”

“Positive livin’ No worries Stress free,” she added later that day. “If your breathing.. Your good. Ayyeeee.”
