The CW has granted an early pickup for two more cycles of America's Next Top Model next year, and while Cycle 17's casting went down a few months ago, Tyra's got something freshly fierce hiding in her romper for the other cycle. For the first time, America's Next Top Model will be doing an All-Star Edition, featuring models who became breakout contestants with memorable story lines.
All-Stars will kick off in the fall, with Cycle 17 premiering in the winter. We guess Tyra finally found an angle for having 109 seasons of the reality show that just won't die. Well, if it worked for Top Chef...?
We'd like to point out that it won't necessarily be the most successful models or winners from past cycles duking it out for the ultimate crown. It's just the "breakout characters" competing. What does that even mean? We think that means Tyra wanted an excuse to bring back Toccara and crown her America's Next Top Model as repentance for letting Janice Dickinson and all the other snooty judges from her cycle kick her off because there was "no place for a plus size model" in the industry at the time.
But that's just our theory...
