There was a double shocker on Cycle 17, Episode 7 of America’s Next Top Model this week with both fan favorites Bianca Golden and Kayla Ferrel getting banished from the magical realm of Ty-Ty. We caught up with Bianca in our exclusive Wetpaint Entertainment exit interview, and the Cycle 9 veteran tells us she was “over” the All-Star experience before they ever sent her home—and that by the time of the infamous perfume tub incident, she was tired of being treated like a “gimmick”!

Your elimination was really shocking. We thought you would be in the finals. Were you surprised you only made it this far?
Not too surprised. I was just very, very relieved and ready to go. I think that I had made peace with it a  long time ago and I was just ready to go.

Was it hard going into the house as one of the better-known girls? Did it feel like people were already judging you when you walked in?
Absolutely, absolutely. But that’s only human nature for people to judge off of what they already know and what they think they know. Just like I felt more familiar in an unfamiliar setting.

You mentioned that you want to be taken seriously as a model. Has being on ANTM helped your career?
It hasn’t hindered it, so I’d have to say yes.

Your tub incident was shown as a major reason you were sent home. Why didn't you want to get in the tub?
I think it was the only reason I went home. I couldn’t think of anything else negative. It’s just for me enough was enough and I just didn’t want to be so much of a gimmick anymore. I was just over it.

What was it about the All-Star experience that made you feel that way?
I’m just used to marching to my own beat, and when you’re in a reality house you can’t really do anything of your own will. You have to wait for someone to tell you what to do or how to do it. That’s pretty annoying when you’re a grown-up, so that was really frustrating to me.

Tyra made it sound like you were comparing yourself to Beyonce. Did you mean for it to come out that way?
No, I just meant that usually people who have made it, they didn’t do everything they were told to do. They made their own way, and that’s what I was saying. Not that I’m Beyonce or anyone else, I was just stating that, you know, I just didn’t want to bend.

We have a theory that there was a Snooki curse on the last challenge. Do you agree?
No, I love Snooki. [Laughs] I don’t think there was a Snooki curse, it’s just the way the cookie crumbles. It wasn’t Snooki’s fault.

What have you been up to post-ANTM?
I’ve been working consistently. I’ve done a few commercials, a few campaigns. I’m still signed with Ford Models and I’m just still working. I’ve been staying really busy traveling.
