Isis of ANTM Cycle 11 gets down and dirty for the new season.
One of the most disappointing things about America's Next Top Model All-Stars — other than the still unresolved question of why Angelea was disqualified — was Isis King's relatively early elimination. We really thought this fierce model and fan-favorite was going to make it to the top. Isis recently opened opened up to the Quinnipiac Chronicle about her Top Model experience, revealing how she felt about her All-Stars finish.
"I don’t think there was any real explanation for sending me home," she said about her All-Stars elimination. "The outcome wasn’t from my lack of anything. I definitely don’t think that if anyone that watched my episode, there wasn’t enough negative footage to go with what was said from them."
Despite feeling slighted by the elimination, Isis told the Chronicle that she actually enjoyed All-Stars more than her first cycle. "I have evolved a lot more and I was more comfortable with myself, and I think just being more comfortable and confident, it allowed me to really let loose and be free while being filmed," she explained, also mentioning that it was fun to work with girls she recognized from other cycles.
Ever the fighter, Isis hasn't let her disappointing All-Stars elimination hold her back. She's "focusing more on acting right now," and is starring in the film Hello Forever, which comes out in June.
"I definitely learned I’m a method actress and I think that people will be really surprised when they see this film and when they see my acting," she said.
We look forward to seeing much more from one of our favorite Top Model contestants. For more one what Isis is up to now, read the full interview here.
