Okay, when we first heard that Kate Moss wanted to open up a modeling school, we were simultaneously horrified and formulating potential lesson plans.
Lesson 1: Don't do drugs.
Lesson 2: If you choose to do coke, don't do it in public.
Lesson 3: If you choose to do coke in public, don't get photographed.
Lesson 4: Don't be photographed in public partaking in the aforementioned drug if you have a huge ad campaign under your belt.
Lesson 5: Don't be wall-eyed.
...The list goes on.
But then, Kate dropped this bit of seemingly well-adjusted self-awareness on us, and, well, maybe she wouldn't be such a terrible modeling coach, after all, we thought.
Says Kate, "I'm very short and I'm completely lopsided — I'm not like those perfect, gorgeous Brazilians. But if you learn how to work it, then that's it!" Spoken like Tyra, herself.
"I think I could open a modeling school," she claims. "In Britain's Next Top Model they put the contestants through the torture of what modelling can be like. And it honestly can be humiliating." Apparently, Kate doesn't find the British incarnation of ANTM to be quite as fake as some of her fellow models.
And, like our own Miss Tyra, Moss admits, it's not all about the look. "I guess you need an eye for art," she says, "and also to get into your head that it's not you — you're somebody else. You have to be somebody else to be able to move like somebody else and act like somebody else."
Perhaps we jumped the gun on you, Kate. Stay off the white coffee, and, who knows? Maybe you could be the British Ty-Ty.
