Last week’s photo shoot might have looked like a challenge for some of the models, what with embodying fashion’s key designers. And while it’s certainly no easy task to portray another person, the challenge should not be knowing who the designer is in the first place. News flash: if you want to be a model, study fashion.

To prepare any of you aspiring models out there in need of a quick tutorial, we’ve boiled a few of the shoot’s designers down to their signature looks.

Betsey Johnson, for example, always delivers a flirty full-skirted collection with a hint of saloon and a dash of playground. Think party dresses for a girls’ night out.
