This Sunday evening (August 29), Hollywood’s biggest and brightest stars will strut down the red carpet at the 62nd Annual Emmy Awards. While the wins are always exciting, let’s face it — we tune in mostly for the fashion. When it comes to awards show fashion, we want to see it all — the good, the bad, and the really, really ugly.

Unfortch, Tyra Banks didn’t score any noms this year (she snagged a Daytime Emmy award for “Best Informative Talk Show” back in 2008, for The Tyra Banks Show). So unless they’ve finally instated the “Best Smizer” category, Tyra won’t take home a gold statuette. Nonetheless, she can still take to the red carpet and rock a glam ensemble like the supermodel she is. Now, we have a few ideas of what we’d love to see Tyra wearing, so here’s our sartorial wishlist of Emmy dresses for Miss Banks.

A fierce fashionista like Tyra shouldn’t be constricted by solid, plain dresses. She can stay colorful and elegant in this strapless orchid print gown by Matthew Williamson. Naturally, we’d expect the bold diva to finish off her look with some serious blingage — diamonds, baby!

If Tyra wants to go even bolder, we’ve got other options. Call us crazy, but we think she'd look stunning in this red and black one-shoulder Jason Wu. C’mon, Ty, drop the floor length frocks and rock a sophisticated, shorter hemline this year!

For an event as big as the Emmy’s, Tyra (surprisingly) steers towards the understated. You won’t be seeing fuchsia rompers on the red carpet! If T wants to keep it classy, she’ll still look gorgeous in this elegant red silk jeweled-shoulder Lanvin gown.
