The CW Speaks! Statement Explains Why Angelea Was Disqualified
According to People Magazine, the CW has released a statement regarding Angelea’s sudden dismissal from ANTM’s Cycle 17: All Stars season finale. The magazine quotes the CW as saying:
"After production wrapped on the current cycle of America's Next Top Model, we learned information that made Angelea ineligible and she was subsequently disqualified from the competition. As a result, new scenes were filmed to address this for the audience during the finale."
This statement, however vague, seems to be in line with the most popular rumor surrounding Angelea’s disqualification: that filming was complete, and Angelea had won the title of the first ever Top Model, All Stars — but the producers discovered she had leaked the joyous news to someone before the show aired last night.
Hence the need to re-shoot scenes for the finale.
Is this a good enough explanation for you, as a fan? Or do you want the network and the show (and Tyra!) to be more candid with their strange decisions?
