It takes more than good looks, thick skin, and no verbal filter to get cast on America's Next Top Model. You also have to pass an IQ test.

Glamour asked Tyra Banks if the Cycle 19 girls were smarter than the average modelstants, since they are all in college. "Their IQs are higher than ever,” Tyra answered. “We test the IQs every year as part of our screening process. Yeah, I'm probably saying too much here. But yes their IQs are higher than ever. These are college girls."

She didn’t say they test IQs to screen out anyone too low; it’s possible they screen out people too high so they don’t question the intellectual integrity of things like booty tooch classes. (We kid. Maybe.)

Glamour took it a step further by contacting The CW to get confirmation about the IQ tests. A rep responded, "Testing basic intelligence is very common in reality shows, especially competition ones, and just one of several factors that are considered in the casting process."

There’s no way everyone who does Wipeout passed an IQ test — and The Bachelor franchise seems designed to provide enough alcohol to lower all IQs by at least 10 points. But do you think they give the ANTM contestants real IQ tests or just basic comprehension exams? If only they revealed those results at panel!

Catch the premiere of America's Next Top Model Cycle 19: College Edition on Friday, August 24 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
