It's no surprise that when Ty-Ty went shopping for some new NYC digs, one condo in the luxury building Riverhouse, located in Battery Park City, wasn't enough. So Tyra bought four units spanning two floors in the building, and set about gutting them to make a pad fit for a whole cast of ANTM girls. Unfortunately, construction on the duplex has run a whopping six months longer than promised, and Tyra's neighbors are fed up with the drekitude.

The $10 million purchase underwent renovations that led to noise, dust, and paint fumes so unbearable that, at one point, neighbors called the cops. Drilling started at 9am sharp, driving surrounding tenants (who were promised the renovations would be done last October) bonkers.

"It's like being on the street where you hear them drilling concrete, but indoors," one neighbor said.

Well, Tyra was spotted carrying boxes into the building this week, so hopefully that means the banging and clanging is almost done. Some neighbors are seeking compensation to the tune of $100,000 for the miserable conditions they've had to put up with for the past year.

Maybe having a celeb living in your building isn't all it's cracked up to be...
