Amy Winehouse’s Ghost Visits Her Father: “She Does Come Back”
Amy Winehouse passed away six years ago, but her father still feels her presence.
The singer tragically died after battling alcohol and drug addiction for years when she was just 27 years old.
Now her father, Mitch Winehouse, is opening up about being visited by his daughter’s ghost.
In a new interview with The Sun, he reveals he often sees his daughter on his bed.
"She does come back — not physically, but spiritually — all the time,” he shared.
“I could not begin to tell you how much she is around, there are lots of strange happenings. Her spirit comes and sits on the end of my bed.”
He continued, “She just sits there and it looks just like her with her beautiful face and she looks at me."
Mitch also shared he believes the “Rehab” singer visits him as a blackbird, which she also had tattooed on her arm.
"It came and sat in the middle of us and sang...there are so many things that happen to me that I cannot explain,” he said.
Now, to honor her life, her story is being created into a musical.
"A musical celebrating her life and music is being talked about for the near future,” Mitch shared.
“It would be for the West End. We want to do something that remembers Amy for what she was, there’s so much more to her than just the drugs and the alcohol.”
Amy died in July 2011 from alcohol poisoning.
“We want to do something positive about how she developed her music. What we don’t hear is that she was clean of drugs for three years when she died,” he continued.
“It is something I’d really like to happen and I’ve said I’m happy for it to go ahead."
