Andi Dorfman Took Official Leave of Absence to Film Bachelorette — See Her Boss’ Letter!

In case you weren’t yet convinced that Andi Dorfman has been chosen to be the next Bachelorette, we have a feeling a new piece of evidence might change your mind.

It’s been widely rumored that the Season 18 alumna will be the girl announced as the next Bachelorette during the After the Final Rose special on March 10. Still need a nudge? Well, TMZ has a letter from Andi’s boss granting her a leave of absence from her job as the Assistant District Attorney...

TMZ reports that Andi told her boss a.k.a. the D.A. of Atlanta’s Fulton County that she needs to take a couple of months off work for an upcoming “program.” And even though Andi and the D.A.’s office is currently focused on a big murder trial, she was able to get the time off.

Andi’s boss wrote a letter in response to her request, pointing out that her “request is highly unusual” but is being granted because she’s a “valued member” of the office. The D.A. makes it quite clear that the “leave time will be unpaid” and that Andi better be sure to get her behind back at her desk as of June 1.

Her boss ends the letter with, “I wish you the best of luck while you participate in this program,” which should eliminate any possible existing doubt in your mind that Andi is indeed the next Rose Distributor.

So it sounds like Andi has a pretty cool boss, right? We would think that not all D.A.s would be cool about someone peacing out for over three months, meaning Andi must be an awesome lawyer. And we appreciate that Andi plans to return to her real life once the show is over, rather than planning on just becoming a professional reality star like other Bachelor/ettes we can think of (*cough* Jake Pavelka).

Are you surprised that Andi’s job will still be waiting for her when she gets back from her world tour to find love? And do you think she’ll make a good Bachelorette? Do you think she’ll go back to working as a lawyer in Atlanta after this thing is over?
