Many months later, it's likely that anyone has forgotten the shocking scene where now-Bachelorette Andi Dorfman called Juan Pablo Galavis out for not knowing her religion. Like hello, isn't that something you'd want to know about someone you are seriously considering marrying? (Though we know now that Juanny Pabs had no intention of doing that either.) But now that we've brought it up, what is Andi's religion, anyway?

First, a little refresher. During The Bachelor Season 18's penultimate episode, Andi confronted El Bachelor in St. Lucia, complaining that he knew nothing about her, which Juan Pablo combated by saying that out he didn’t realize religion (or social issues or politics...) was important to her. He also suggested that Andi hadn't learned similar facts about him.

The gang prosecutor from Atlanta quickly tore him down by pointing out that she knew very well that he’s Catholic. Well played, Andi. And so, despite Juan Pablo’s argument, religion clearly is important to our girl.

OK, it’s time to reveal her religion. Drumroll, please: Andi is Jewish. She never discussed practicing Judaism on the show, although her father’s first name is Hy, which is of Hebrew origin, as is her last name, Dorfman.

Andi is the first Jewish Bachelorette, but she is certainly not the first show lead or winner who is Jewish. Bachelorette Season 7 winner J.P. Rosenbaum is Jewish, and he had an interfaith wedding ceremony with Ashley Hebert. Also, Season 13 Bachelor Jason Mesnick is of Jewish heritage but does not practice. His wife, Molly, is Catholic.Want to know who Andi picks and if he's Jewish, too? We've got you covered...

Are you surprised to learn that Andi is Jewish? And are you looking forward to her season?
