Things are only going to get more exciting — while getting much worse for Team Prison — on The Walking Dead Season 4.
Episode 2, “Infected,” aired on October 20, and Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) talked to Yahoo about next Sunday’s, instalment — Episode 3, “Isolation” — which is scheduled to air on October 27 at 9 p.m. ET.
Rick is a natural leader, but after the Ricktatorship of Season 3, he went out of his way to focus on farming and took a major step back from running of the prison. That’s going to change. “You will certainly see in Episode 3 a man very much forced back into the middle of things,” Andy said.
Yahoo asked about the inevitable return of The Governor (David Morrissey). What could Andy share? "I don't even know,” he answered. “I heard he's been around. I don't know. I heard he's been on set ... [laughing]. No, [the writers] have done an incredibly neat thing, I think, this season. You're absolutely right. I'm so glad that you're responding in the way that I responded when I read these scripts. You wait. Just wait, because it just keeps building, and building, and building, and building. Episode 3's an extraordinary episode for so many reasons."
It’s tempting to tie his Episode 3 observation to The Governor, since they’re part of the same answer, but it’s probably not that simple. They’re keeping this Governor return business a big secret, and Andy’s not just going to tease it out and then be like “He shows up in Episode 3!”
We were already guessing Episode 3 would be interesting, in part because Tyreese (Chad Coleman) will be dealing with the fallout from his lost love, Karen — and it looks like his sister Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) is sick!
Here’s the official synopsis for “Isolation: "A group leaves the prison to search for supplies; the remaining members of the group deal with recent losses." That supply run has lots of potential too, and we can probably expect some extraordinary stuff from that.
