Andrew Lincoln’s Strike Back Series Will Soon Air in U.S. For the First Time
Before he was Rick Grimes, Andrew Lincoln was Hugh Collinson in the six-part British TV series Strike Back — which will soon be airing concurrently with The Walking Dead Season 4. Twice the Andy Lincoln!
After that first Strike Back series aired in the U.K. in May 2010, Cinemax picked up the show for its own Strike Back seasons. The cable network is currently airing Strike Back Season 3, which will end on October 18. After the finale, starting October 25 on Cinemax, the six U.K. episodes featuring Andrew will air in the States for the first time in a prequel called Strike Back: Origins.
The first U.K. series followed John Porter (The Hobbit’s Richard Armitage), a former British Special Forces soldier who was drafted back into service by Section 20, a fictional branch of the Secret Intelligence Service headed by Hugh Collinson (Andrew Lincoln).
The Cinemax show stars Philip Winchester, Sullivan Stapleton, Rhona Mitra, and Michelle Lukes and you can catch up on the action by watching Season 3 Fridays at 10 p.m. ET.
And don't forget to start watching The Walking Dead Season 4 when it premieres Sunday, October 13 on AMC.
