The Watch What Happens: Live star had a black mark on his lip checked out after Kelly and her husband Mark Consuelos noticed it last spring and badgered him to see a doctor.

The 48-year-old eventually relented, and the mark turned out to be melanoma, which he promptly had removed. Now, the self-proclaimed "tanorexic" insists he's doing well.

He noted that the scare has changed his relationship with the sun, saying, "I never thought that kind of thing would happen to me."
