All the Jolie-Pitt kids were out last night to support their mom’s new film, First They Killed My Father.

However, they weren’t the only family members to show up.

Angelina Jolie’s estranged dad, Jon Voight, also made an appearance.

The father-daughter duo was estranged for almost seven years prior to 2010, but ended their feud at the urging of Angelina’s ex, Brad Pitt, according to People.

Now the pair is spending time together, and Jon is getting to know his six grandkids: Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, Zahara, Knox, and Vivienne.

“He’s been very good at understanding they needed their grandfather at this time,” the 42-year-old told Vanity Fair, referring to her split from Brad.

“I had to do a therapy meeting last night and he was just around. He knows kind of the rule—don’t make them play with you. Just be a cool grandpa…”

By attending the premiere, Jon wasn’t only supporting his daughter but his grandkids as well.

Angelina’s eldest sons, Maddox and Pax, helped work on the movie, which Angie directed and collaborated on the screenplay.

First They Kill My Father is based on Cambodian-born human rights activist Luong Ung’s memoir of the same name, and documents her experience as a young girl under rule of Khmer Rouge.

Maddox was born in Cambodia, which is why the Oscar winner was first interested in the project.

The 16-year-old was very involved with the film, pitching in on meetings, prepping for shoots, and reviewing dailies on the film.

Similarly, his younger brother helped out with production by serving as a set photographer.

“I was trying to help wherever I could,” Maddox told People magazine.

He also revealed his mom is “fun, funny, and easy to work with. She’s a wonder.”
