Kanye West Sentenced to Anger Management, Probation in Battery Case (VIDEO)
After pleading no contest to the charge that he assaulted a paparazzo back in July, Kanye was placed on informal probation for two years, meaning the charges will be stricken from his criminal record so long as he stays out of trouble for the next 24 months. Yeezus will have a little help making that happen, since he’s agreed to 24 private anger management therapy sessions.
In addition to probation and counseling, Kanye has also agreed to complete 250 hours of community service, to pay for the damages to equipment belonging to the photographer in question as well as any medical bells incurred.
Finally, he has agreed to avoid contact with the photographer in question. We’re pretty sure Kanye would be happy avoiding contact with all photographers based on many of his past interactions with paparazzi.
Kanye’s accuser doesn’t seem terribly satisfied with the outcome, however. TMZ reports that the photographer told the court he still experiences emotional trauma because of the alleged attack and feels Kanye should see jail time.
