TV One’s hit reality TV show, R&B Divas Atlanta, returns to the small tube with its Season 3 premiere! This season, we get new blood in the form of LaTavia Roberson of Destiny’s Child and Meelah Williams of 702 and, of course, new drama. But how does all of this coincide with veteran star Angie Stone’s expectations?
The RBD ATL star sat down to give her own hopes for the new season of the hit show.
“The one thing I’m really looking forward to is unity,” Angie says, adding, “I’m looking forward to forging ahead, I’m looking forward to more music, I’m looking for more sisterhood.”
As fans may recall, last season took a turn for the worse for most cast members — Monifah, KeKe Wyatt, Syleena Johnson, and Angie herself — when it came to their co-star Nicci Gilbert. A bitter feud ensued, particularly between Syleena and Nicci, with the situation finally boiling over during the Season 2 finale and carrying on to the reunion show.
“I’m looking for the very common denominator which is women can work together,” Angie said, adding she’d hope to show that “women can be successful together, and that we are not all angry black women.”
We can totally get behind Angie’s hopes to not send the wrong message out there, and hopefully with the new ladies in tow, we won’t get to see our divas too upset…
